Parata recipe is prepared from flour. There are many types of paratas. Aloo parata and egg parata are the most common. Parata is very common recipe all over the world. The people of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Arabian countries are fond of pararta very much. In Bangladesh, parata is used in plenty in towns and cities. Most of the people in towns eat parata in their breakfast. They also choose aloo parata. Every restaurant in our country make pararta in the morning for breakfast. Flour, oil and a little bit sugar are necessary to prepare parata recipe. So making parata is very easy task. The method of preparation is as follows;
Ingredients:
# 2 cups flour
# 1 teaspoon sugar
# ½ cup cooking oil
Salt to taste
Preparation:
1. add salt, sugar and 1 tablespoon oil to the flour. Mix well. Make dough of flour with ½ cup of water. Knead very well. Keep covered for 15 minutes. Divide the dough into six balls.
2. Sprinkle a little flour on a plain surface. Roll out one ball thinly round. Brush 1 teaspoon of oil on its surface, sprinkle with flour. Roll up the bread to make a shape of a rod.
3. Hold one end and wind dough to from a coil, tuck end firmly underneath. Roll out again into sound shape measuring 20 cm(8") diameter.
4. Heat heavy base frying pan. Fry both sides of parata carefully for a few minutes. Then fry both sides of parata in 1 tablespoon of oil till it is brown and crisp.
5. lightly press the parata from both ends o loosen it if desired. Then stack the parata one upon another.
serve hot with kebab, vegetables, niramish or meat curry. 3-4 servings.
