Boiled Lentil

Lentil recipes are very common in Asia. The people of Bangladesh, India and Pakistan are very fond of lentil recipes. Various types of recipes can be prepared by lentil. Boiled lentil is one of them. It is very delicious recipe. Lentil recipes are very beneficial for our health. Lentil contains protein. Lentil grows in plenty in Asia. India is one of the largest lentil producing countries of the world. Lentil recipes are very easy to make. The cooking process of boiled lentil is cited below;
Ingredients:
1 cup red lentils,
2 tablespoons chopped onion,
2 green chillies, chopped,
2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves,
1-2 tablespoons mustard oil,
Salt to taste.

Directions:
* Rinse lentils. Add 2 cups of water, cover and simmer until water has been taken up and lentils are cooked. Leave to cool for five minutes.
* Mix all ingredients with lentil.

Serve with boiled rice or chapatti. 4-6 servings.
