
Ingredients:
1 × 1.5 kg (3 lb) chickens,
¾ cup sliced onion,
1 teaspoon garlic paste,
2 tablespoons ginger paste,
2 tablespoons ginger paste,
2 sticks 2.5 cm piece cinnamon,
3 black cardamoms,
2 tomatoes, peeled and chopped,
½ cup cooking oil,
1/3 cup dry prunes,
Salt to taste.
Directions:
Step 01:
Skin and cut the chicken into 12 pieces. Heat the oil. Fry the onion light brown.
Step 02:
Add the chicken, garlic, ginger, cinnamon and cardamom. Stir fry for 2 – 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, paprika and salt.
Step 03:
Stir and fry until tomatoes are reduced to a pulp. Add the prunes, cover and simmer over very low fire until the prunes are softened.
Serve with hot chapatti, parata, pullao or rice. 6 – 8 servings.
